*due to technical issues with Stiletto Sports on Sunday, this poll is posting a little late but will be open all week and through the MLB postseason!

[poll id=”43″]
For the last two years I’ve been genuinely excited for the MLB Postseason. As they say, There is Only One October.

But this year, I can’t seem to get excited, even though both the Tampa Bay Rays and the Yankees are battling for the top spot. My love for football has grown so much in the last year that it is now overshadowing my love of baseball’s postseason.

There are 8 teams battling for the top spots of their divisions in a best of five series. No matter what, the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants will be playing on Sunday, October 10th. If the other two matchups (Tampa Bay Rays-Texas Rangers and New York Yankees-Minnesota Twins) fail to win the best of five in the first 3 games, they will be playing on Sunday as well.

Like always, the baseball postseason will be in direct competition with NFL Sunday. I know which games I’d rather be watching so now I want to know which ones YOU would rather tune into: the NFL Regular Season Week 5 Matchups or the MLB Postseason ALDS and NLDS games? Unless you are Bo Jackson or Deion Sanders, chances are, you have made a choice between the two. Which one is it?

What do you love about the MLB postseason? Do you live for October? Or does baseball bore you all year round? What do you love about football season? Do you have room in your heart for both sports? Shoot me a comment below, on twitter or on Facebook and let me know!

Before I get into last week’s poll results, here is special treat for this week’s poll. George Carlin’s Famous “Baseball vs. Football” Act:

Last Week’s Poll Results: Last week I asked “Do you watch College Football or the NFL?” I was really curious about this poll and its results. Personally, I like the NFL a lot more than college football. My roommate, on the other hand, just can’t get into the NFL but he is a huge college fan. And I’ve always found that fans seem to prefer one or the other, not both. They might both be football, but fans treat them like totally different ball games!

The results shocked me: 40% said they love both equally. They love football, anytime, anyplace.

  • Another 40% said they are college football fans only
  • Only 20% said they are only NFL fans.

I’m going to keep that poll open throughout football season to see what happens as the games play on and we’ll revisit the results come January!

Signing Andrew Bogut Was A Win-Win Situation For The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers’ signing of Andrew Bogut drew plenty of reactions from both sides of the fence but his veteran status makes him an asset on the court and the bench.

How to Get Started with Roller Skating

Reasons why baseball has bigger money power than football

Baseball attracts millions of spectators, and it makes the largest amounts of money throughout the world. It is the main hero of sports pages of American newspapers, one of the main characters of books and movies. The famous baseball player of the 1940s Joe DiMaggio was no less popular than his starry wife Marilyn Monroe was. Baseball is a […]
