My Pick for the #5 Top Sports Commercials would have to be “My Five” with Charles Barkley.
The T-Mobile commercial aired during the 2008 Superbowl and featured Barkley finally allowing NBA star Dwayne Wade into his elite “fave five” on his phone, something Wayne had been trying to do for awhile! The series had been going on for awhile:
Then he finally lets Wade in and you find out just how crazy Barkley really is.
Now, the commercial itself was hysterical. But even more so was the ensuing phenom it created and the Frank TV Spoof “In My 5 With Charles Barkley.” Has me on the floor laughing every time I see it! The skit joins the T-Mobile series in my #5.
