Happy New Year! The Countdown is finally complete! And my #1 pick for best commercial/commercial series for 2008 is…….
(drumrolling. And if you know me, you know that I really am doing it)

1. There is Only One October
Go ahead and yell at me for picking it because apparently, after much searching, it seems I might be the only person who liked this ad campaign. But I really don’t care. I think it was fantastic.

This is the series that ran for the Fall Classic of baseball in October. And you have absolutely no idea how long it took me to find a copy of it for you. I had given up hope and bumped it farther down the countdown and somehow finally stumbled on it on Youtube. And when I found the whole series of them I remembered how much I really liked them. And this was back when I truly thought baseball was as boring as watching dirt grow. (yes, you read that right)
I really loved the whole series of the commercials. Most featured actor Rick Gonzalez (Old School) sitting at a typewriter like the old newsies used to do, recounting a tale of baseball’s past and why it was so amazing. And how, there really is, only one October!
