I’m cheating a little with my pick for the#7 Top Sports Commerical for 2009 because the first video of the series is actually from 2008 but I really, really, really like it. If it was in 2009, the NASCAR ads would have ranked a lot higher in this countdown because it definitely has a bit of magic to it

“Let’s See How far We’ve Come”

This NASCAR commercial starts way back in the day at the beginning of NASCAR and takes you all the way up through to today with Gordan and Earnhardt at the end with Matchbox Twenty’s “Let’s See How Far We’ve Come” as the perfect score to the video

My. Your. Our. NASCAR featuring O.A.R. “This Town”

I really love this homage to NASCAR and it’s fans. It really captures how NASCAR is the #1 spectator sport in America! “This town. This night. This Crowd. Come on put ‘em up….” Great anthem in the background as the video shoots to all the key spots like Daytona & Talladega.

Dreaming of Kasey Kahne

Kasey Kahne, the dreamboat of NASCAR, stars in the fantasies of three women on their way to meet him. They are even more excited than fans that stalk Soap Opera stars! Well, while they are fantasizing about what it will be like when they get to meet him, they crash into something that ultimately destroys Kahne’s car. And of coure AllState, the official sponsor of NASCAR is there to the rescueNot really funny after the first time, but the first time definitely made me LMFAO!

“DriverSeeker” Toyota Department of Fan Operations

Toyota creates special robots to help fans get more in touch (aka stalk) with the NASCAR drivers. The robots hunt down the driver wherever they may be (even in the driver seat during a race!) to get the autographs for fans. I can see how it would be an annoying commercial after about the fourth watching, but I’ve only watched it three times and thought it was hysterical.
