UPDATE: 10.9.10: For Michigan State Football & the MSU-UM Rivarly Game: go here!

mich-state-champions1It’s safe to say they’ve had the toughest road to a national championship of any year.

First, they had to take on the defending champs. And they won.

Then they had to take on the No. 1 seed of the whole tournament, Louisville. And  they won.

They went up against No. 1 seed UConn. And won.

And then, they had to go up against the third No. 1 seed of the tournament, the powerhouse of UNC.

The only team to ever go up against all three No. 1 teams and win was Arizona in 1997.

Kermit the Frog said it:  “It ain’t easy being Green.”

But ya know what, Michigan State makes Green look Real Good!
