I know I should be focused on the game recap and highlights, but all I can think about is how Gator Nation will be dominating the state for the next year. Again.

The last time this happened in 2007 was bad enough! Their college basketball team won the championship that year too. I think they dyed the whole state orange and blue. (Hmm actually now I think about it, it already is. Lots of blue water and we grow lots of oranges)

I don’t think you truly understand how crazy these fans can be or how crazy they can drive you if you aren’t a big fan.

Good thing I picked Florida to win, right! (Shh! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Just going to delete that other blog post that accidentally mentioned Oklahoma….)

From what I’ve read, the game was really boring! I’m glad I didn’t tune in until the third quarter when things started heating up!

Here are the game recaps & highlights. I will skip right ahead to the 4th quarter:

Florida was up 14-7 after a TD by Percry Harvin at the end of the 3rd quarter. And here we go:

  • Oklahoma opened the 4th quarter with a touchdown around the 12:00 mark. 14-14 Tie! Game back on bitches!
  • Seconds later, Florida immediately rallied right back when Harvin took off down the field, taking Oklahoma’s momentum with him.
  • After Harvin’s 52 yard dash to Oklahoma’s 26 yard line, the Gators continued to advance the ball. The total drive resulted in a field goal bringing the score to 17-14.

  • Two minutes later, Florida intercepted a really sweet pass from Sam Bradford. (So not Sam’s fault! The throw was perfect, the catcher…er, receiver…messed that up! Felt bad for Sam, he looked really upset.)
  • 7:41 remaining in the game. Florida has possession and they are on 3rd down with 12 yards to go. Huge down for them! Tim Tebow connects his pass and Florida gets their first down.
  • They continue to advance up the field and scored the nail in the coffin touchdown with under four minutes left in the game.

Florida 24 Oklahoma 14

Long live Tim Tebow and the Gator Nation
