One of the finest coaches, the only African-American coach to win a Super Bowl, and the guy with the super-funny last name: Tony Dungy decides to step down as Head Coach. But he leaves with an impressive legacy and the opportunity to return to coaching in the future.
One reason cited is that he wants to spend time with his family. Sounds like a line of bull but his son is a senior football star in high school and Dungy wants to help him find the right college team to join.
I’ll write more later, have to run to CVS, stomach flu won’t go away! But for now, farewell my favorite NFL coach. Or at least the coach with my favorite name.
