My #7 Sports moment of 2009 goes to the very highly-anticipated and suspenseful 7 game series between the Capitals and the Penguins.

Last year, the NBA released a series of commercials for the 2008 playoffs “Where Will Amazing Happen” and this year, their sequel “Where will Amazing Happen This Year” is even better

The #5 spot on the countdown goes to the NHL Playoffs on VERSUS. Every commercial in the series is surprisingly moving and powerful

The #6 spot on the Countdown has to go to NFL Monday Night Football Ads! All of them feature major cases of the Mondays & how MNF makes it better!

I’m cheating a little with my pick for the#7 Top Sports Commerical for 2009 because the first video of the series is actually from 2008 but I really, really, really like it.

Happy New Year! The Countdown is finally complete! And my #1 pick for best commercial/commercial series for 2008 is…….

1. There is Only One October
Go ahead and yell at me for picking it because apparently, after much searching, it seems I might be the only person who liked this ad campaign. But I really don’t care. I think it was fantastic.

The wait is over! It’s finally time to give the stiletto trophy for my #1 favorite sports moment of the year! Yay! It was really hard to choose with all those fantastic momentsI’ve already talked about. I mean, no matter what I picked as #1, I was bound to piss off someone. My dad wanted the Celtics; Mike wanted the Yankees; Charlie was for Kansas; most of the fam picked Michael Phelps; Gina felt I didn’t give the Giants enough attention.

I learned a lot in the last week but my biggest lesson was that you can’t please everyone. So in this case I didn’t even try! I figure I might as well piss everyone off and amuse myself at the same time!
