The Boston Celtics were finally defeated by the L.A. Lakers last night, 92-83, ending their franchise record-breaking 18-game streak. My father was not amused by this choice of Christmas present. However, there is one good thing coming from the Lakers win: it was Phil Jackson’s 1,000 win! Makes him only the 6th coach in NBA history to achieve that honor. I like him so that lessens the blow a lot! Well, maybe not to the Celtics.
