Time for the second game of the day!
Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Keep in mind, I have my own unique…method….of picking teams. You can check out My Official Rules if you would like to try to totally understand. But sometimes, I don’t even understand myself!
The boring stats:
- Ravens Are 11-5 this season.
- Cardinals are 12-4.
- The Ravens fell to the Steelers 13-9 just over a month ago on Dec. 14.
- They also lost to them 23-20 in Week 4 of the season.
- The Ravens must be pretty damn pissed off by that! They will be fighting hard to not go 0-3 to the Steelers in one season!
- The Steelers are 7-1 in the Ravens/Steelers match-up when they play at home.
- The Ravens haven’t had a week off since the beginning of the season (aw poor babies, you mean they had to go to work like 17 days in the last 5 months? I feel so bad for you)
- The Ravens’ QB is a rookie! No rookie has ever led their team to the Super Bowl before.
The real, important info:
- According to an article on the Steelers site:
“The Steelers and Ravens have plenty of respect for each other, but to put it nicely, they really don’t like each other on the field. And that is going to make Sunday’s AFC Championship game, the game with the most on the line ever between the two teams, that much more intense.”
That makes is sounds so cool! Like a BFF war on GH or Gossip Girl!
- I know nothing exciting or interesting about the Pittsburgh Steelers
- Their QB is Ben Roethlisberger. He is NOT attractive
- The basketball team on One Tree Hill is also the Ravens
- My nephew Scott is a HUGE the Ravens fan
- The Raven’s QB Joe Flacco is so freaking adorable and I’m loving him more and more every day!
- It would make such a great Disney produced sports movie if the Ravens won! The impossible dream of the rookie QB leading his team to the Super Bowl….and they could get Mark Walhberg to play Flacco…..sigh….
After sending these facts to my special Data Configuration and Analysis Center (otherwise known as the Pink Bubble World of JenniferT) and carefully checking the Stiletto Sports Official Rulebook for Team Selection, aka “picks, My choice is clear.
Pants down, I’m going with the Baltimore Ravens baby! (Pants down is an expression coined by fellow Stiletto Chick Charisse and is to be used carefully. It could offend! It is used to replace the moronic term of “Hands Down” which really makes no sense, yet people still insist on saying.)
Check in for live updates during the game, possibly a fun half-time thing, and of course, the game recaps!
