There really wasn’t a lot going on in (my) sporting world last night. The big story was the Fiesta Bowl and I’m going to admit right now, I didn’t watch it. I mean hello, it was the season premiere of The Bachelor, day two of Superstars of Dance plus Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill returned! It was a big night in my world and my DVR was quite busy! However, I was texted with two minutes left in the game and told to tune in because interesting things were happening.

Here’s last night’s recap:

One Tree Hill: Peyton is pregnant! Nate got the point guard position with Charleston. And they got Q’s killer

The Bachelor: OH MY GOD! So in love with Jason, the single dad star of this season. He is like, the perfect dream guy.

yum! The new McDreamy...

Oh…wait…you wanted:

The Fiesta Bowl Recap

You can read this 6 line game summary in 1 minute or head to ESPN.com to find the really long, drawn out non girl-friendly version that took me 15 minutes to decipher. The last 5 minutes of the game were all you really needed to know.

  • With about 8:00 remaining in the game, the Texas Longhorns were leading 17-9
  • Then the Ohio State Buckeyes went buck-crazy (always wanted to try to say that in conversation…)
  • First, Terrelle Pryor ran in a 5-yard touchdown to bring the score to 17-15
  • Then, right before the 2 minute warning, Dan Herron scored to give the Buckeyes a 21-17 lead.
  • But…the play of the game came from the Longhorns:

With 0:16 left to play, Cort McCoy passed to Quan Cosby who ran 26-yards and dove into the game winning touchdown.

Final: Texas 23 Ohio State 21

up next: My Pick for the BCS on Jan 8th.

**One Tree Hill involved basketball and they talked about Seattle Seahawks on the Bachelor, therefore those are sports recaps also, ha!

The Los Angeles Lakers’ signing of Andrew Bogut drew plenty of reactions from both sides of the fence but his veteran status makes him an asset on the court and the bench.

How to Get Started with Roller Skating

Reasons why baseball has bigger money power than football

Baseball attracts millions of spectators, and it makes the largest amounts of money throughout the world. It is the main hero of sports pages of American newspapers, one of the main characters of books and movies. The famous baseball player of the 1940s Joe DiMaggio was no less popular than his starry wife Marilyn Monroe was. Baseball is a […]
