I’m hoping to start my “Case for the Mondays,” a little sports clip to make you start the day with a giggle, er, um, manly snort of laughter? Something to chase away the Case of the Mondays! Here would be my choice for week 1:
And yeah okay I know everyone‘s talking about it and it’s on like every highlight reel but if definitely is my favorite part of sports news yesterday! (even though I had to hear about it all night long from the table behind me at a really nice restaurant during my first night out and away from work in weeks….)
But if for some reason you haven’t heard…
Making snow angels now constitutes as “unsportsmanlike conduct” in NFL football.
Um. So it’s okay for football players to beat the crap out of their opponent and even injure them, which, when you think about it, is aggravated assault (hello, felony!) off the football field. And that’s sportsmanlike. But they are not allowed to make a snow angel, something every child north of the frost line does? That is unsportsmanlike….mean. Go figure.
Very interesting. And humorous. As if this sport wasn’t confusing enough!
So here’s the video of what happened during Sunday’s NFL game between the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals:
What I liked even more is that this wasn’t the first NFL snow angel, or even the first Patriots angel. Lonnie Paxton is famous for his that he created in the 2001 playoffs against the Oakland Raiders!
And sadly, by the end of today I will be up North making my own snow angels. Brrrrr!
Oh yeah, and New England won 47-7. Apparenly the Cardinals didn’t know how to play in the snow!

I was watching the game and could not believe he was called for that. I know that the announcers felt the same way. I’m still glad he did it, we all laughed here:) That was the first time in about 25 years that the Cardinals played in the snow, which is amazing. Have a great day, it’s currently snowing here again, so it looks as if I will be once again shoveling snow:)
